All university students, regardless of their academic institutional affiliation, can complete a research internship at LIRA Lab.
Students from Other Faculties
These students should first check internship requirements at their home institutions (e.g., number of hours, type of activities) and then verify with us whether these requirements can be met within LIRA’s internship program.
Students in the Research Module at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade
These students can find detailed internship information in the Faculty’s Guide, and the relevant Moodle page. The internship must first be arranged with a faculty mentor and then with a mentor at LIRA Lab.
The faculty mentor is a teaching staff member from the Department of Psychology and does not necessarily have to be a LIRA Lab member. The LIRA Lab supervisor can be both a teaching or a research staff member. The faculty mentor and the LIRA Lab mentor can be the same person.
The internship is individualized—it is arranged based on students' needs and LIRA Lab’s resources.
The most common internship format is participation in the Program for Junior Researchers. Coordinators of the program announce a call for applications at the beginning of each academic year. Interested students should follow the Faculty’s website, respond to the call when it is published, and indicate that they wish their participation in the program to be recognized as an internship.
If participation in the Program for Junior Researchers is not possible, students can explore other internship opportunities at LIRA Lab by contacting the head of the lab or specific lab members they wish to collaborate with. Other forms of internship may include participation in ongoing research projects conducted by LIRA Lab, or assisting LIRA PhD candidates in their thesis work.
