Research interestsMy research focus is on Disintegration as a basic personality trait. This means defining the structure of this trait; determining its relationships with other personality traits; testing the hypothesis about the key mechanism that generates individual differences along this dimension through research on correlations between disintegration and measures of perceptual and cognitive false positive errors; contributions of disintegration in predicting various mental phenomena and behaviors (primarily irrational beliefs and behaviors) that are incremental in relation to other personality traits; determining the significance of disintegration for understanding psychoses and other mental disorders. In addition, I am also interested in the dispositional foundations of (a)moral behavior, the dispositional foundations of socio-political and ideological attitudes, as well as militant extremism. I am also interested in the biological foundations of behavior. I am very interested in the moderating role of dispositions on the relationships between environmental events and behavior.
