RESEARCH INTERESTS

The primary focus of my research is decision-making in the domain of health behavior. My goal is to explore the predictors of both individual differences and variations in health behavior of a single person through time. While working in this field, I have studied a wide variety of behaviors that influence health outcomes – from everyday activities such as nutrition, exercise, smoking and consumption of coffee and alcohol in the general population, to less frequent ones such as substance abuse and following medical treatments in specific populations. I use hierarchical linear modeling and robust statistical methods to analyze my data. The next step in my work will be the integration of research and intervention programs.
