Within psychology of individual differences, I am particularly interested in themes about basic personality traits, their inner functioning mechanisms and determinants of behavior that are always observed through relations of environment, personality and their interaction. The link between my interests in individual differences and developmental psychology is presented through topics of trait and intelligence development. These are questions about socio-affective development and development of thought and speech (i.e. cognitive development). This constant dynamic of nature and nurture, genetic and social basis of development, bind my interests to social psychology. The impact that culture has on development of individual and on formation of one’s consciousness, as well as influence of societal on one’s perception of environment and others, are aspects of social psychology that complement my interests in co-constructivist (vygotskian) and constructivist (piagetian) development of individual. |
