U okviru ove istraživačke linije, saradnici Lire zainteresovani su za relacije bazične strukture ličnosti, „mračne strane“ ličnosti (narcizam, psihopatija, makijavelizam, sadizam) i socijalno relevantnih fenomena, kao što je kriminalni recidivizam. Mnogobrojna istraživanja pokazuju da su crte ličnosti uspešni prediktori kriminalnog i antisocijalnog ponašanja (Međedović, 2009; Međedović, Kujačić, & Knežević, 2012). Istraživanja su ukazala na nisku saradljivost i savesnost (Miller & Lynam, 2001), kada su praćene niskim poštenjem i emocionalnošću (Međedović, 2016), kao na ključne crte ličnosti povezane sa kriminalnim ponašanjem. Međutim, kako sa konceptualnog, tako i sa stanovišta predikcije kriminala i kriminalnog recidiva, važno je proučavati uže personalne dispozicije orijentisane upravo ka karakteristikama ličnosti povezanim sa amoralnim i antisocijalnim ponašanjem. Neke od tih karakteristika su amoralnost (Knežević, 2003), psihopatija (Međedović, Petrović, Kujačić, Želeskov-Đorić, & Savić, 2015), „mračna trijada“ (Paulhus & Williams, 2002), odnosno „mračna tetrada“ (Međedović & Petrović, 2016).

Pored usmerenosti na ove koncepte,  istraživanja u okviru ove linije usmerena su i na konstrukte važne za razumevanje ideološki motivisanog nasilja poput moralnih osnova (Međedović & Petrović, 2016), militantnog ekstremizma (Saucier, Akers, Miller, Knežević, & Stankov, 2009; Stankov, Saucier, & Knežević, 2010) i konfliktnog etosa (Međedović & Petrović 2016). Najnovija istraživanja posvećuju naročitu pažnju sadizmu kao važnoj ekstenziji prostora mračnih crta ličnosti i crti koja verovatno doprinosi najzloćudnijim oblicima amoralnog ponašanja (Knežević, 2003; Međedović, in press).

Najzad, ekstenzivno se radi i na proučavanju užih procesa koji su povezani sa kriminalom i kriminalnim recidivom, poput implicitnih asocijacija na nasilje (Međedović, 20015). Istraživanja se vrše na osuđeničkoj ali i na opštoj populaciji. Ispitivanja na opštoj populaciji omogućuju i proučavanje potencijalno adaptivnih karakteristika ovih crta (Kujačić, Međedović, & Knežević, 2015), što sve više zaokuplja pažnju istraživača u svetu.
