Secondary data analyses – conducting meta-analytical studies on the relationship between basic dispositions and psychopathology – constitute a special and important line of research within Lira.

Three meta-analytical studies have provided additional evidence on the necessity of reconceptualizing the basic personality models and completed the evidence on the position and importance of the trait Disintegration within three contemporary personality models , i.e., Five-Factor Model (Knežević, Lazarević, Bošnjak, Purić, Petrović, Teovanović, Opačić, & Bodroža, 2016), Psychobiological Personality Model (Lazarević, Bošnjak, Knežević, Petrović, Purić, Teovanović, Opačić, & Bodroža, 2016), and Eysenck’s PEN Model (Knežević, Lazarević, Purić, Bosnjak., Teovanović, Petrović, & Opačić, 2019).

Our researchers also actively participate in meta-analytical studies conducted as part of large scientific collaborations aimed at improving science and scientific practices (e.g. Open Science Collaboration, 2015; Klein et al., 2018)

Currently, we are working on a meta-analytical study on ingroup bias in children and a meta-analysis on the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on updating (n-back task). We are also planning on conducting meta-analytical studies of other important constructs from the individual differences domain, such as social attitudes or the “dark side” of personality.
